What Is CosyWall Wall Insulation?
CosyWall wall insulation is a full external cavity wall insulation system (ECWIS) for providing thermal and acoustic insulation to wall cavities lined on both sides. The CosyWall wall insulation system includes an assessment of building suitability, licensed installation of water repellent glass wool insulation and durable external cladding repair.
CosyWall wall insulation products are manufactured in selected North American plants by melting and spinning a blend of inert, natural minerals. It is the only formaldehyde free, non-combustible, water repellent, durable dry blown wall insulation with a trouble free history since 2002 of insulating New Zealand external wall cavities under the brand name Qmulus BIB. CosyWall is packed in plastic or CWI bags.
Why Should I Use CosyWall Wall Insulation?
CosyWall wall insulation is a multi purpose product designed to provide effective thermal and acoustic insulation for existing water tight external timber framed wall cavities, fibre cement, plywood or sealed masonry veneer claddings. In addition CosyWall insulation can be used to insulate new walls or provide acoustical insulation on internal walls.
CosyWall wall insulation is installed dry, does not transfer water via wicking and, if soaked, dries within 30 days. It is low bio-persistent, formaldehyde free mineral wool, which is odourless and does not provide food for vermin. The use of CosyWall does not present a health risk to installers or occupiers of insulated buildings. Face masks and overalls should however be worn when working with all insulation or dusty drywall materials.
